The Fred Smithers Centre for Student Accessibility

Saint Mary's University provides accessibility resources, services and accommodations for students registered with the Fred Smithers Centre for Student Accessibility. These supports are available to reduce possible barriers and help students achieve their academic and career goals.

Important information regarding quiz, test and exam accommodations

Final Exam Booking Deadline: The last day to book to write your exam with the Fred Smithers Centre is Monday, November 18th.

Please make sure to complete the Test Request Form by this date. 

For all other tests and exams, we need at least two (2) weeks notice or fourteen (14) days before the test date. Due to the volume of requests that we receive, late test requests may not be accepted.  

For New Students

• Fill out our online application form.
• If you don't have documentation, have the appropriate medical professional fill out our Disability Verification Form
• When the application form is received and approved, you will be contacted by email to schedule an Intake Meeting with one of our Accessibility Advisors.
