The Black Student Advisor supports Black and African-descended students with culturally informed guidance and community connection. The role fosters belonging, empowerment, and student success at SMU and beyond.
Career & Experiential Learning helps students and recent alumni explore career options, gain experience, and connect with employers. Services include career counselling, job search support, co-op, community service learning and more.
The Counselling Centre offers free, confidential mental health support to students through individual counselling, workshops, and wellness programs. Additional initiatives include Peer Support, Wellness Ambassadors and campus-wide partnerships.
The Fred Smithers Centre provides academic accommodations and support to students with disabilities. Services include assistive technologies, exam accommodations, advising and career-focused guidance.
Rooted in the Christian tradition, the Holy Cross Chaplaincy welcomes everyone to reflect, connect, and grow in community. Offerings include Catholic Mass, prayer, social events and interfaith campus ministry.
The Indigenous Student Advisor supports Indigenous students through culturally grounded guidance, advocacy, and programming. The role helps create inclusive spaces and strengthens connections across campus and community.
The International Student Centre supports international students through immigration advising, mentorship, and settlement guidance. It helps students thrive academically, socially and personally throughout their time at SMU.
Residence Life fosters inclusive communities and supports student success through purposeful programming and leadership opportunities. Students enjoy events, peer connections and on-campus support.
The Sexual Violence Support Centre offers confidential support and resources to anyone impacted by sexual or gender-based violence. It also leads campus-wide prevention training and student-led initiatives.
The Student Health Clinic provides medical care to students, including appointments, testing and wellness support. Services are available both in person and virtually during and after studies at SMU.
The Student Success Centre offers programs that support academic success, leadership development, and student wellbeing. Services include learning support, Peer Success Coaching, New to SMU and more.
