Information for Prospective Students

Master of Arts in Women and Gender Studies (WGST)

Our program emphasizes the interdisciplinary basis of Women and Gender Studies, its community linkages, and grounding in feminist theories and methods. Our graduate students have access to a diverse faculty with strong research profiles in a range of areas across the social sciences and humanities. We have the largest cohort of graduate students in the Faculty of Arts and a small group of core faculty, as well as a large group of faculty in multiple disciplines to work with graduates students.

Admission Requirements

  • A four year bachelor of Arts degree
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 (B average)
  • Application deadline: February 1
  • Program Start Date: September
  • Minimum time to completion: 2 years
